Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 24, 2026.

This policy describes what TVP PPF Manual ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use the TVP PPF Manual course site at tvpwestgate.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Short version: We collect your name and email when you create an account, track your lesson and quiz progress so the course works, and email you about your account and — only if you ask — the launch. Product links on lesson pages are Amazon affiliate links that earn us a commission; Amazon applies its own privacy policy when you click through. We run no third-party analytics. We never sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

1.1 When you create a free account

  • First name, last name, and email address, which you type into the signup form.
  • A password, stored in hashed form. We cannot read your password.
  • IP address, used briefly for rate limiting on signup (abuse prevention). It is not stored alongside your profile.

1.2 To verify your email

  • We send a verification link and record that your address was verified, when verification happened, and how many reminders were sent. Verification tokens are stored hashed.

1.3 When you use the course

  • Lesson progress: which lessons you completed and when.
  • Quizzes: your attempts and scores. Your best score is the one that counts.
  • Video watch progress: which videos you watched, how much you watched, and where you left off, so playback can resume.

1.4 If you join the waitlist

  • Your email address, used only for launch announcements. Every message carries an unsubscribe link.

1.5 If you buy a subscription

  • Our checkout collects the details needed to process your payment: name, email, and billing address. Card details go directly to our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Your purchase is recorded on your account so your lessons stay unlocked. Transaction records are kept as required by tax law (see section 6).

1.6 If you sign in with Google

  • Name, email address, and profile photo provided by Google through OAuth. Because Google has already verified the address, these accounts skip our email-verification step.

2. Cookies and tracking

  • Strictly necessary cookies: login session, security tokens, and display preferences you set (such as reduced-motion). The Site does not work without these.
  • No third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any equivalent. (Last verified against the deployed Site code, 2026-09-24.)
  • Amazon affiliate links: product links on lesson pages go to amazon.com carrying our affiliate tag. When you click one, you leave our Site and Amazon's privacy policy and cookies apply — we do not control them. If you buy through our links, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This arrangement is also disclosed next to the links.

3. How we use your information

  • To create, secure, and administer your account.
  • To deliver the course: unlock lessons, save progress, grade quizzes, resume videos.
  • To send transactional email: verification links, password setup, purchase receipts. These are not marketing and cannot be unsubscribed while you hold an account.
  • To send launch announcements, only if you joined the waitlist. Unsubscribe anytime via the link in any message.
  • To prevent abuse: rate limiting on signup and verification endpoints.
  • We do not use your information for any other marketing, and we never sell or rent your personal information.

4. Who else receives your information

  • FluentCRM (email list, hosted on our own server): your name and email, tagged by account type, so we can send the emails described in section 3.
  • Fluent Forms (form entries, on our own server): your signup form submission.
  • Bunny Stream (video delivery network): when you watch a lesson video, the delivery network necessarily observes your IP address, as with any video or image loaded over the internet.
  • Our transactional email provider: delivers the emails described in section 3.
  • Our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor: Stripe — it processes your payment if you buy a subscription.
  • Amazon: only if you click an Amazon product link (see section 2).
  • Google: only if you use Google sign-in (see section 1.6).
  • Our hosting provider (IONOS): operates the servers that store the above.
  • Other than as described here, we disclose personal information only when required by law or to protect the security of the Site and its users.

5. Your rights and choices

Write to support@tvpwestgate.com for any of the following. We fulfill verified requests within 30 days (within 45 days for California residents, per the CCPA/CPRA).

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate information (you can also update your name and password yourself in your account).
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your account and personal information. Deletion is completed within 30 days of verification; transaction records that tax law requires us to keep are retained as described in section 6.
  • Unsubscribe: every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link; you can also write to us.
  • California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — this statement stands as our opt-out disclosure.

To verify your identity for a request, we will match the request against the email address on the account.

6. How long we keep information

  • Account and learning data (name, email, progress, quiz scores, watch history): kept while your account is active.
  • On deletion: personal information is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
  • Transaction records: kept for 7 years, the standard US period for tax and financial records, then deleted.
  • Security and abuse-prevention logs (e.g., rate-limit records): kept only as long as needed to protect the Site, then discarded.

7. Security

We protect your information with measures including hashed password storage, hashed verification tokens, rate limiting on authentication endpoints, and removal of plaintext credentials from stored form submissions. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact support@tvpwestgate.com.

8. Children

The Site and course are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

9. International use

The Site is operated in the United States and intended for a US audience. Information is stored and processed in the US.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will post the new policy here, update the effective date, and notify account holders by email before the changes take effect.
